Quick update... Nepal has electricity/ energy issues (sells its electricity to India for a higher price) so there's only power sometimes in the morning and after 10 at night. I flew into Kathmandu, met up with Vasae in Bodnath, bussed to Thamel (Kathmandu) went to a Monkey Temple, and now am in Pokhara about to start our 3 week trek on the Annapurna Circuit. This is definitely a huge highlight of the trip! 21 days of trekking, tea houses for sleeping, altitudes of 18,00 feet for climbing, Himalayas for beholding... heck. yes. I'll be out of pocket while on the trail but will give an update as soon as possible... wish us good luck!
Anna, you are literally doing the exact trip I have been longing to do FOREVER! I feel like I'm reading parts of my own journals at times; love reading all of your updates, safe travels!
